Dr. Carson Shearer has a true passion for helping people optimize their health through the use of new cutting-edge practices that treat every single patient as an individual and not a checklist of ailments. 

As a physician who has helped many clients achieve optimal results, Dr. Shearer understands that the only way to reach your peak state of health is through a tailor-made plan specific to the individual. His approach to patient care is compassionate, genuine, rigorous, and well-informed. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Shearer has years of experience in both hospital and outpatient settings.

He is dedicated to the belief that medical care should provide solutions that are unique to the individual and their specific situation.

Dr. Steffany Shearer is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon who provides a unique blend of traditional and integrative dermatologic medicine. She educates on and addresses the skin-gut connection and the importance of a healthy microbiome, inside and out. She is passionate about helping her patients age gracefully, through personalized, curated aesthetic services.

Doctor Shearer was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oklahoma in 2003. She received her medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. She was elected into the Sigma Sigma Phi medical honor society during her tenure. Dr. Shearer completed her traditional internship at University Hospital in Richmond Heights, Ohio. She graduated from Larkin Community Hospital dermatology residency in South Miami, Florida in 2013 and served as the Chief Resident during her senior year. Following her residency, Dr. Shearer practiced in Ardmore, Oklahoma, providing dermatologic care to the southern portion of the state. She, Carson and their family relocated to Raleigh in 2017, where she’s been treating patients and promoting healthy skin since. She was thrilled to join the TFM team in January 2024, finding her niche in the functional concierge space. Her expertise is paired with the time and grace every patient deserves.

Dr. Shearer is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society of Mohs Surgery. Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her husband and their three young children. She especially enjoys being the boss at home and now being the boss at work!
